Omar Yunes, franchisee of Sushi Itto, became a part of the Japanese food chain when he was only 21. He dedicated his career to spreading the popularity of sushi in his home country of Mexico in locations such as Mexico City, Veracruz, and Puebla.
Up to date, Omar Yunes is the owner of ten of the restaurants of Sushi Itto which is 13 percent of the franchise. His achievements over the course of his career also led him to be the winner of the title Best Franchisee of the Year. Omar Yunes won the prestige award in 2016in the Mexican chapter of the competition.
The BFW competition had participants from all around the globe and from a vast number of industries. There were applications from a total of 34 countries, including France, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, and many other countries from around the globe. The award ceremony was in the historic Italian city of Florence where Omar Yunes received the gold prize in front of several hundred guests including media, friends and family, colleagues, as well as people in leadership such as chief executives.
Omar Yunes accepted the reward and gave a short speech. He noted how important his team is as those are the people who interact with the customers the most every single day and make sure they have a good experience at every Sushi Itto restaurant. There are about four hundred people working across the ten location that Omar Yunes owns.
The success of Omar Yunes and his winning the BFW award did not only elevate his career and reputation in his line of work and that of Sushi Itto, but it also rippled through Mexico as a whole. According to business experts, the success of Omar Yunes and Sushi Itto will incite the interest in the Mexican franchise industry. The award of the Mexican franchisee might attract the interest of foreign investors which will benefit the Mexican market and the population.
Omar Yunes is planning on continuing to put the industry and the franchise as a priority, and he is also working on an expansion for the next few years.

His selfless nature is evident in his contract at Nabors. 80% of his income is based on the company’s revenue which means that if the sales decline, his salary also declines. Some of the most significant deals Nabors has had was in 2010 when it purchased Superior Well Services at $735 million. 2nd June 2017 saw Nabors sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Gazprom, a leader in the Russian Oil Industry. The company has also been involved in the acquisition of Robotic Drilling Systems which is a drilling company based in Norway.
