Andrea McWilliams Makes Her Mark In Texas Politics

Andrea McWilliams is a political fundraiser and lobbyist. Her skillful strategies and dedication to her work have made her an impressive force in the Texas political sector. She works with both public and private organizations, and has been featured on a number of major news outlets, including CNN, the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek BBC, NPR and USA Today.

McWilliams is a political commentator as well, and has been featured in Texas publications. She has also been honored by the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce as a “consigliere to the powerful and political.”

Andrea is a recipient of the Austin Business Journal’s “Profiles in Power.” She has also received the 2016 Texas Businesswoman of the Year from the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce. McWilliams was also honored by the Girl Scouts of Central Texas with the Woman of Distinction Award.

McWilliams has also received the Austin Under 40 award and was honored by the Austin American-Statesman as a Glossy 8 list member. This year, Austin Fashion Week also honored Andrea as a Style Setter, recognizing her commitment to local nonprofit organizations.

Andrea McWilliams became chief of staff at just 21, and went on to perfect her skills in the grassroots and public and private sectors. She became a stellar public relations professional and worked with Public Strategies, Inc. She is now the cofounder of McWilliams, a full service public relations firm for government affairs that she runs with her husband Dean.

McWilliams grew up just minutes from the Texas State Capitol, and currently lives in Old Enfield with her husband and three children.
