Sean Penn pens his Debut Book, Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff

Sean Penn is out with a new thriller and not a film, in fact, he says he is almost done with acting. It is a sad affair for his fans that his bidding goodbye to acting but it is very accommodating to his creative muscles and additionally very comforting that he will bless their days with thrilling content.

Penn has now turned writer and his virgin book Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff is a masterpiece of absurd fiction. This book is funny and satirical and is observant of the state of affairs of modern-day America. Penn says it is entirely a work of fiction but he also says in a way it is a venting medium for him to express his mind on what he thinks is wrong with the American society.

Penn says a lot of people are not concerned about their legacy, but he is at a critical point of life where he cares about his contribution to the world and the book is just the first baby step in his quest. For a man who has received academy awards recognition for his remarkable career in the acting industry, legacy should be the last of his worries in his life, but not for Penn. He says that while Hollywood offered him a big break in his career he feels that his creativity was always censored by the industries policies. He says that writing has offered him freedom from collaboration and now he can stretch his creative ability to the maximum.

Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff

The book Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff is based on a fictional character called Bob who is middle-aged American who does not give smiles for free. Bob is a salesperson, entrepreneur and also an assassin. Bob is a sad person who is not on good terms with his landlord and he expresses his frustration through a letter which he indicates that the landlord should better have a change of mind.

The character is reminiscent of today’s modern-day American who is tired of how things are being administered in the country. Bob does what he can and works hard by selling septic tanks alongside some other side jobs like helping post-war victims and helping people of Haiti rebuild after a natural catastrophe. Perhaps his most notable hustle is that of assassinating old people. He thinks that he is doing the environment a favor by getting rid of the elderly citizens with his chosen weapon, a wooden mallet. This is satire at its best. According to Penn the character in Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff is totally out of creativity and should be treated like it is; completely fictitious.

From Actor to Author, Sean Penn’s “Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff” Is a Must Read

Sean Penn has never been afraid of controversy or speaking his mind no matter how delicate the subject may be. His new book “Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff” is getting mixed reviews. You either love it, or hate it, there is no in between. About a simple man who sells septic tanks for a living and does a few government assassinations on the side for extra money, the story appears to reflect modern American Culture, and many are saying Penn nailed it.

When Trevor Noah of the Daily Show asked him was the story supposed to be a metaphor Penn didn’t answer him directly but went on to defend his characters seeming need to shame women whenever possible. So, is Penn simply trying to say this is life, but we can change it? Time will answer that question and the verdict is still out on whether or not the idea of Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff can begin to cure our culture of all its ills or maybe make things a little bit worse.

People are saying Penn has simply written a biography with his book and the main character “Bob Honey” is Penn himself by another name. In a phone interview with Vogue when Penn was asked if he set out intending to “but heads with” the #MeToo movement he replied the “#MeToo thing” was part of a whole. Any movement that creates equality is a good thing but in Penn’s opinion this movement may be compared to a “toddlers’ crusade” and he asks has “due process lost its sheen?”

This movement is seen by some as nothing more than a platform for well-known men to be railroaded on and that false accusers do so with impunity using the #MeToo movement as a legal cover. He says his book is not an opinion piece but still, the American President in “Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff” sure sounds a lot like President Trump, and the climate of the times seem to clearly reflect what we live with in the real world.

Michel Terpins is one of the most respected rally competitors in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His speed and performance in the rally sports earned him a lucrative position at the Brazilian Cross Country Rally Championship as the Chief Executive Officer and President of the firm. Michel Terpins began his sports career in 2002 when he started to race with simple motorcycles and later advanced to powerful cars. His experiences with the races have promoted to race for big teams in Sao Paulo. Besides, his brother Rodrigo Terpins has been by his side all through his career. Rodrigo is also an expert rally driver who has experiences with powerful and luxurious sports cars such as T-Rex, a product of MEM Motorsports.

Similarly, Michel Terpins has also raced aboard T-Rex in almost five rally editions including the most recent 25th Edition Sertões Rally. In his attempts to become a better rally driver and competitor, Michel Terpins has managed to win a couple of races which statistically amount to nine tally competitions. The rally sports guru and his brother, Rodrigo are the founders of the Bull Sertões Rally Team which has topped in most of the Sertões Rally competitions. Following the club’s wins, Maykel Justo and Michel Terpins who is the team’s best performers successfully represented the Bull Sertões Rally Team in Prototypes T1 Sertões Rally categories.

Somehow, MEM Motorsports contributed to the team’s victory indirectly. This is because of the company’s powerful and comfortable T-Rex which was used by these sportsmen during the rally. Considering that the races were to be off the roads, the car was just the best choice for such a tedious and very competitive exercise.

However, Rodrigo Terpins missed the chance to participate in the rally due to his other professional commitments. All the same, he is set to triumph in the next races that the Sertões Rally Editions will be hosting in the near future.

In a nutshell, the contributions of Michel Terpins and his brother in the development of rally sports in Sao Paulo are incomparable and unmatched. It is because of Michel Terpins that his sports company, the Brazilian Cross Country Rally Championship continues to excel.
